And we’re back!

Finally back home! what a great Thanksgiving we had. I feel relaxed, I ate so much I really don’t know what to do about it. I guess i’ll have to exercise. A LOT. And, I still have to be able to do a chin up, so there’s something. I’d like to give you a taste of what I’m (belatedly) thankful for (in no order of importance… MAYBE!)
- my guy. he’s the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. He loves me, he treats me with respect in front of no one and everyone. He is wonderful to my niece and nephews and he’s great with my family. He carries my suitcase up the stairs to our 5th floor apartment
- my family, in general. We love each other so much it hurts, which makes it possible to hurt each other easily, too, but that’s all about love, man
- my stepmom specifically. She made the best turkey day happen. She ordered a huge table because all she wants to do is be able to have her whole family fit at the table at once. And we did and she was visibly delighted. We ate every meal at that table, three or more times a day and it was a pleasantly surprising change from everyone going in diverse directions and not being together at meals. She believes in the importance of sitting at the table together for meals and i’m a believer now, too. As a huge aside, she opens herself up and puts herself out there for others. To unappreciated extremes. It’s a thankless job when you reach out to someone who doesn’t welcome it - and I love her for doing it
- my friends. I can’t say enough about the love and support of my friends. They’re genuine, hilarious, completely on crack, and they would never let me slip.
I love you all and I hope everyone is fat and happy!
i know its exciting but i hate coming home from anything!!! =)
such a good post. I know I’m thankful for you and your honesty kelly. you sound happy — that’s good to hear. btw, speaking of families, expect to hear from mine. you & your man scored an invite to fl … if you need a warm-weather get away this winter.
OOO!!! Florida! With the Lobster fam!? Oh good golly, I’ll have to remind factor to read his blog.
love YOU! i am def fat and happy
glad you guys had a good t-day with the fam!
I enjoyed my Tofurkey very much although it smells a little weird. And our fridge is packed with leftovers that will probably go untouched.
My mom called me about the turkey that The Mr made and asked if he was eating it. When I said that we’d most likely throw it away, she screamed, “NOOO! bring it over!”
