I feel like Jesus

I just came home from work and blathered to Factor for about 20 minutes of all the things going on at my new job. So much so much. Things are broken here and then and orders are given without technical know-how, some people are like a walking Woody Allen flick, and some are beautifully quirky - and its fun as hell. I just dart around, trouble shooting, trying to get people to hear me, trying to get some people not to hear me, trying not to go #2 in the all too public arena bathroom, and just trying to succeed at what I got hired for. Through all that I think I’m forging some new friendships and letting my “I don’t want to get totally screwed in the pooch by people I work with (not you guys, you know this)ever again” guard down. I love it. I mean it. I love it. I told Factor that I feel like Jesus. I walk in there with this knowledge that I was painfully blessed with from my IBM experience. I’ll have to tell you about this seriously quirky piece of work, but suffice it to say, I just let it roll off. I feel like it’s my job to educate people in work emotion management because it just doesn’t make sense to let that small quirky meaningless bullshit get to you. Do your thing, do it well, and you’ll never look bad. I feel like I walk into that office and I know I will not let anything crush my style.
Wisdom, man, ain’t it the shit?
“Wisdom, man, aint that the shit?” You should get that on a tee shirt!
i live in cottonwood mn, a bus crash last week here killed 4 kids, 2 were in my sons class his best friend. my good friend lost her son, life is so short, it makes you want to make the most of every day!
Now you know why I worship you.
I agree with G. That needs to be a t-shirt.
Tricia: holy crap, that’s awful. My heart goes out to your son and your friend
Thanks kelli, the funeral on thursday was very uplifting , My sons friend loved star wars, and at the end of the service all the kids in his class held up lifesavers as they wheeled out the casket and played the star wars song. His dog Huck was also there, They are focusing on the happy times not the pain!
